Transparent ferric oxide pigment can be used in oil and alkyd, amino alkyd, acrylic and other paints to make transparent paint, has good decorative. The transparent paint can be mixed with the color paste of other organic color pigments either alone or by adding a small amount of non-floating aluminum powder slurry to make a metallic effect paint with flicker feeling, can be used for cars, bicycles, instruments, instrumentation, wood and other high requirements of decorative occasions. Due to its strong absorption of ultraviolet radiation, the iron permeating pigment can be used as a UV shielding agent in plastics and used in packaging plastics such as beverages and pharmaceuticals. Nano-sized iron oxide black also has a broad application prospect in electrostatic shielding coatings. At present, Fe3O2 nano-sized coatings with good electrostatic shielding have been developed successfully. The semiconducting nanoparticles have a higher conductivity than conventional oxides at room temperature and thus can act as an electrostatic shield.
