Vanadium nitride particle is a common nitride in nitriding steel. It has two crystal structures: one is V3N, hexagonal crystal structure, the hardness is extremely high, the microhardness is about 1900HV, the melting point is unmeasurable; the second is VN, face-centered cubic Crystal structure, microhardness is about 1520HV, melting point is 2360 degrees. They all have high wear resistance. Vanadium steel can greatly improve the wear resistance of steel after nitriding treatment.
Application of Vanadium nitride particle:
Vanadium nitride is a superior steelmaking additive than high vanadium iron. With vanadium nitride as an additive, it can save 20%-40% vanadium and greatly increase the strength of steel. The nitrogen component of vanadium nitride promotes the precipitation of vanadium after hot working, making the precipitated particles finer, thereby better improving the weldability and formability of the steel.
Storage conditions:
Vanadium nitride particle should be sealed and stored in a dry and cool environment. It should not be exposed to the air for a long time, to prevent agglomeration due to moisture, affecting the dispersion performance and use effect, and should avoid heavy pressure, do not contact with oxidant, and transport according to ordinary goods.
